My Bags

My current sewing craze has been making tote bags with matching accessories ( change pouch, money holder, checkbook holder) I already made about 4 in this style and am thinking about making a bunch and just selling them, but I am worried that they either wont sell or I will not have time to finish them and sell them once school starts back up. I also have a quilt that I need to finish, which should be my top priority but I keep getting pulled into making bags :0.

My new sewing station

So after having to use small antique sewing machine table for a year, I finally got sick of the small workspace and didn't want to pay a rediculous price on a "sewing table" from Joanne's etc. all of which were overpriced and not exactly what I needed. I decided to make my own. I used a handmade solid pine table and put pegboard on each side. On one side I glued wooden dowels in to house all of my thread and then on the other side I bought pegboard "accesories" for the other side upon which I use to hold my rulers and other misc. items.
I also have that wooden set of drawers full of notions, books, etc. Since first setting this up I have of course rearranged it a bit but it still looks good and the best thing about it is that when Im not sewing, I can move my sewing machine and use it as a desk for all of my homework!

Fishing with DeVondre :)

Today DeVondre and I went fishing on the Saginaw River and I caught a MONSTER FISH! yes, I caught others too, but what got me so excited was the 20 pound 30 inch sheephead I caught on my first cast from the shore! Other than this monster, I also caught a 14 inch Catfish, a 15 inch Walleye, and a 15 inch Sheephead. I probably could have caught more but once I caught the Monster I was so wound up it took a while for me to get my pole back in the water. DeVondre also did good, he caught numerous fish; 2 walleye, 5 bass, 1 rock bass and 4 sheephead(though none bigger than mine :)).
I never thought that I would catch a fish this big in the Saginaw River, I mean we always catch fish, but usually the biggest they get are 10 inches or so. Today was just an amazing day of fishing, all of my fish were bigger than expected and DeVondre's fish were so plentiful that it didn't really matter that they were only normal sized with a few big ones. :)
